What is mainframe modernization?
Mainframe modernization is the process of moving applications and data from legacy mainframe systems, often written in COBOL, to modern platforms such as the cloud, Java or .NET, so they are cheaper to run and easier to change.
Do we have to rewrite everything at once?
No. We recommend a phased approach. Each application is assessed and modernised in turn, using re-hosting, re-factoring, API wrapping or replacement depending on its value and risk.
How do you make sure nothing breaks during migration?
